Acceptance

By using citeai.io ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. We may update these terms; we'll post the new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify subscribers by email.

What the Service does

We analyze public web pages for AI search readiness, generate citation tests, source maps, and content briefs. Outputs are advisory and do not guarantee any specific ranking, citation, or visibility outcome.

Acceptable use

• Don't audit domains you don't own or have permission to audit at scale (rate limits enforce this).
• Don't use the Service to harass, deceive, or scrape third parties.
• Don't reverse-engineer the Service to bypass paid tiers.
• Don't use generated briefs as your final published content without human editorial review.

Subscriptions and refunds

Paid plans (Tier 2: $19/mo, Tier 3: $39/mo, Tier 4: $69/mo) are billed monthly via Stripe. Usage above your monthly quota is auto-billed at the overage rates published on the Pricing page (citation $0.25, source map $1.50, brief $2.50). You can cancel anytime from the dashboard or the Stripe billing portal; cancellation stops the next renewal but does not pro-rate the current period. We refund within 14 days of the first charge if the Service was unusable for technical reasons attributable to us.

AI-generated content

Tier 2/3/4 features use Anthropic's Claude with web search to generate outputs. We pass these outputs to you as-is; we don't warrant their accuracy. You are responsible for fact-checking and editing before publishing anything based on them.

Service availability

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime but make no formal SLA on the free tier. We perform routine maintenance and may rate-limit or temporarily restrict accounts that exceed published usage caps.

Liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can terminate by deleting your account at any time.
